Definitely Play the Kim Possible Game at Epcot

“Even if you don’t have kids, definitely play the Kim Possible game at Epcot. It is way more fun than you think + extremely well executed.”

We saw bunches of people, mostly kids, running around with Kim Possible cell phones all around Epcot.  They have a very distinctive, very loud ring, so they’re hard to miss.  Only after we saw a family running around grinning like morons as they tried to solve clues in Mexico did we realize that this game is totally interactive with the environment around you.  It looked cool, maybe a little cheesy, so after we received a random fast pass for a Kim Possible stop, we decided to try it.

We had so much fun doing that first one that we threw out the rest of our day and did nothing but go get the quests for almost all the other countries!  What happens is you get a special cell phone where the characters of Kim Possible call you to give you clues to help stop various bad guys from the show who are trying to take over the world.  Each game is set in one country of Epcot and is just a ton of fun.  You race over there, have to find where you’re supposed to be, and do various fun things to get the scenery to interact with you.  Sometimes you actually have to interact with cast members and take props from one place to another.  As people who have only ever seen a handful of Kim Possible episodes, it was a TON of fun! We loved it!  Our favorites were in Japan and England.  I made Adam do the cast interaction in England and it was a blast.

So don’t think this one is just for kids and miss it, it’s really fantastic how the Imagineers have worked the game into each country and it is hilariously funny to watch people who don’t know what you’re doing stop and stare as things that shouldn’t be coming to life randomly start moving around.  I admit that more than once we hit the replay button just to startle people nearby.  It was an awesome way to spend an afternoon!
