Be Prepared for Showers During the Day

“Expect one or two showers while you’re at WDW + be prepared. Ponchos at the dollar store cost a lot less than the Mickey ones in the park!”

This one is pretty self-explanatory:  it’s Florida.  It’s hot and it’ll probably rain at least once while you’re there.  In the summer (at least when we’ve been there in June) it storms in the afternoon almost every day.  Make sure you plan to either be all right being wet or bring ponchos with you!  Ponchos are a good idea in general for those rides that you know will be wet if you don’t like being wet.  Might I also suggest avoiding Kali River Rapids if that is the case.
