Watch the First Parade

“Try to watch the first parade of the evening, then during the later parade go to Frontierland and ride Thunder Mountain a bunch of times!”

For some reason Disney is always posting a tip that you should watch the second parade of the night because it is less crowded.  That is such bad advice to me!  You want to watch the first parade, even if it’s harder to get a spot, because during the second parade?  It is prime ride time!  Get yourself stuck in Frontierland and suddenly you have Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain all to yourself!  There have been times when we have gotten to ride Thunder Mountain 7+ times in a row, getting off then running up through the line to get right on again during the last parade of the night.  It makes you feel like you have that little area of the park all to yourself!  

Course if you aren’t a parade person anyway (I’m not!), don’t watch either of the parades and just hit the rides!
