Grand Floridian Restaurants are Romantic
“Narcoosses, Victoria and Alberts, or any of the Grand Floridian restaurants are great places to celebrate Valentines Day in WDW!”
There’s a big misconception out there that Disney World is just for kids. As part of a couple without kids that absolutely loves visiting, let me tell you right off that this is not the case. I find Disney World MORE fun as an adult than I ever did as a kid! No one is telling me what rides I can and can’t go on, what I can and can’t eat, or when to go to bed! Well, sometimes that last one happens, but on the whole the entire place is there for you to enjoy!
And there are tons of romantic venues for couples to get away from it all. My favorites are all located in the Grand Floridian. Just the entire atmosphere of that hotel is ridiculously romantic: turn of the century Victorian seaside hotel. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the live band playing music (or the piano player that jumps in when they need a break) certainly works to set a romantic mood. Victoria and Albert’s, while expensive, is the absolute perfect place to get away from it all–including children, which is unheard of at Disney–where you get everything from a six course meal to a harp player setting the tone. Narcoosses, also at the Grand Floridian and impossible to spell correctly, is right on the water. They light it up at night and you can view the Magic Kingdom fireworks from their deck, or through the windows if you’re lucky enough to have a good seat. They lower the lights to pipe in the music so you really get caught up in the show. They also have some of the best martinis on property and some of the nicest waitstaff ever.
What’s more, since buses at the resorts don’t go to other resorts, just to the theme parks, you can take a boat to and from the Magic Kingdom and the Grand Floridian, which only helps the whole romantic angle. Sure, it’s only transportation, but you can’t help but fall in love with a lovely sunset over the Seven Seas Lagoon when the lights to the Grand Floridian come on.
