Walk Around the Tree of Life and Count the Animals

“At the Animal Kingdom, walk around the tree of life on the Discovery Island trails and see how many animals you can count.”

When Adam first suggested that we do this I thought it sounded like the most boring way to spend time in the Animal Kingdom.  How hard could it be?  How many animals could there possibly be? It turns out that it was sort of a Where’s Waldo of animal fun. We’d be staring at a branch and then suddenly it was a snake. We never did find all three hundred and twenty-five animals but we had a ton of fun trying. If you get tired of the Discovery Island Trails, get super up close and personal with the tree while standing in line for It’s a Bug’s Life.  People have actually let us cut in line because they’ve been standing around pointing out the different animals they saw. It’s almost as entertaining watching people pick out the animals as it is to pick them out yourself!
