Morning ADR at a Resort? Take a Bus to the Nearest Park
“Morning ADR at a resort? Try taking a bus to the nearest park and let the bus driver know your plans. They may be nice and drop you off.”
Early morning ADR at a resort? Try taking a bus to the nearest park and let the bus driver know your plans. If the bus is quiet, the driver may just swing by your destination and let you off!
Look, I can’t make any promises here, but we’ve had some pretty good luck with this one when it came to early morning ADRs at Cape May, Boma and the Whispering Canyon. Sometimes those early ADRs just sneak up on you and buses don’t go from resort to resort. If you’ve got a car, this isn’t a problem for you, but for the rest of us who live and die by Disney transportation getting to those appointments first thing in the morning can be a stressful business. What we’ve found though is that if you just jump on the bus heading to the closest park if you let the bus driver know where it is you really need to go, they’re usually only too happy to accommodate you. After all, you’re in Walt Disney World, the most magical place on Earth. What’s a little sidetrip if it means bringing just a little more pixie dust to your day?
(Though if they refuse and you end up at a park having to wait for a bus headed to the resort where your ADR is, keep in mind that they’ll hold your ADR for an additional 30 minutes and to be honest neither Erin nor I have ever had them cancel an ADR on us. Even when we were an hour late getting to Akershus.)
