Check Out the Tours
“Check out the tours offered at all the parks. Depending on the interests of your family, some of them are well worth the money and time.”
Tours were one of those things that I had no idea existed until the second or third time Adam and I went to Disney World–and I was not interested. Just like with shows, I did not want to be walking around a park when I could be experiencing it by going on all the rides! So we agreed that he would go on the Backstage Magic tour (which is like 7 hours!) while I would have myself a down day at the resorts. When he got back from the tour he was full of all kinds of interesting facts, said that he’d gotten to see the costuming room and all the princess dresses (!!!) and that he’d just had a blast. I was jealous, so the next time we went we did the Backstage Safari at Animal Kingdom. Again I was somewhat skeptical, but on the tour? I got to pet a rhino. A RHINO! It was AWESOME!
There are tons more tours offered than just the two I’ve named here–I really want to do the Segway tour around the World Showcase at Epcot someday–Disney is always adding new ones and there’s something for everyone whether you like Disney trivia, learning about things, or are adventurous enough to go scuba diving! So I highly recommend that you check out the tours and see if there’s one that you think you might like to do!
