Leftover Dining Plan Meals can be Converted into Snacks

You may have tried your best to get as many ADRs as possible, but somehow you still ended up with a bunch of meal credits leftover.  Fear not!  You can convert those into snack credits and get yourself a bunch of pretzels and cookies for the trip home.  This is especially helpful if you, like us, pick the Deluxe Dining Plan and then find yourself crying every time you think of having to eat another meal that day.  Too much food!

In the past what we’ve done is just buy quick service lunches for the people behind us in line that were paying cash, but since Disney frowns on this, being able to take snacks home with you is probably the better option.  The snacks in shops on the dining plan are usually the kind of cheap ones, but they’re “free” so who cares!  Certainly not your kids who will be on a sugar high the entire way home.  

I have heard that some places get annoyed when people try to do this, so your best bet is probably the little shop attached to your resort. And really, it doesn’t hurt to ask so that you don’t feel like you “wasted” any money on the dining plan!
