Use Online Check-In When Staying on Property

Checking in to your resort can be a time consuming process. You finally get to your destination then you have to wait in line with all your luggage, confirm all your information, have them find your reservation, write everything up, get your key cards ready, show you the map, and probably a couple more things I’ve forgotten. I am a somewhat cranky traveller and I when I arrive somewhere I just want all of that to be done! So I was thrilled when I heard about online check-in, which allows you to check in to your hotel FROM HOME about ten days before you are set to arrive.  I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant, but the promise that I could skip a line made my heart soar, so I anxiously awaited that date and made sure we did it for our trip last October.

It was great.  When we got to Port Orleans Riverside all we did was walk up to the teller that had the Online Check-In sign.  She asked for our name then pulled out an already prepared packet that had everything we needed in it–a map with our room circled, our key cards, the informational brochures we needed–the works! It took all of five minutes and that included the nice girl at the counter showing us the map and the best route to get to our room. It is something you should absolutely take advantage of if you stay on property!
