Buses Do Not Travel from Downtown Disney to the Parks

“Buses do not travel from the parks to Downtown Disney or from Downtown Disney to the parks–you’ll need to transfer at a resort!”

I’ve heard from a lot of people that their way to get around the pay to park lots at Disney is to park at Downtown Disney and just take a bus to the park. While you can get there eventually, it’s kind of a time killer to do so since no buses go right from Downtown Disney to the parks.  You have to take the bus at Downtown Disney to a resort, then get on a bus to go to the parks.  And you’ll have to do the same thing going back, since you can only get a bus to Downtown Disney from the resorts, there is no stop for them at the parks. For some people saving the money for parking is worth the time sink, but I really don’t think it is.  Some of those buses can take a LONG time. And the last thing you want to do after a long day at the parks is wait in a long line for a resort bus then get to the resort and wait for a Downtown Disney bus to get there. 

So don’t plan on spending a day at the parks and then hopping on a bus to go right to Downtown Disney for dinner reservations–you need to plan for a bit more time to make that trip!
