The art stores are a great way to soak in a little extra Disney magic!
“Pop into the art stores. Even if you aren’t looking to buy, it’s like a trip to a free museum that exclusively features kitschy Disney art.”
You’re at Downtown Disney and you’ve already loaded up on shirts, pins, stuffed animals, Mickey rice crispie treats dipped in chocolate and topped with jimmies and other things that have you stomach a little upset with you. Raglan Road or T-Rex are in your near future and you’ve already spent too long resisting the urge to buy LEGO kits. What now?
Check out the art store. Seriously! You might not think you’re in the market for an art deco painting of Stitch or a painting of Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse dressed up as Disney princesses, but even if you’re not interested in that it’s worth it just to walk around and see what kind of crazy paintings the brilliant artists at Disney come up with. Fair warning, though. Eventually one may hit a little close to your wallet. I wouldn’t have thought so either, but the painting of Prince Phillip fighting Maleficent hanging in my living room is proof that no one is completely immune!
