Visit the Universe of Energy

“Too hot at Epcot? Visit the Universe of Energy! Not only will you get to sit down for 40 minutes but there are DINOSAURS!”

The Universe of Energy, now also known as Ellen’s Energy Adventure, was my absolutely favorite ride as a kid.  I loved dinosaurs and these were only just barely scary and really cool!  And the best part was that I could sit still in air conditioning for upwards of 40 minutes out of the hot Florida sun. That’s still part of why this is a draw for me as an adult (along with the dinosaurs still, of course) but I also really enjoy the Jeopardy/Ellen/Bill Nye the Science Guy twist they’ve put on things.  The intro movie is actually really entertaining and I think only adds to the ride. Like most things at Epcot, you can actually learn a lot on this one if you pay attention. Though if you’re just in there to keep cool, don’t worry, you’re in good company. So make sure to visit the Universe of Energy the next time you’re at Epcot!
