Be Aware of Special Events
“Be aware of what special events are happening during your stay as they can crowd the parks and infringe on your overall vacation enjoyment!”
While it can be fun to go to the parks during the holidays for their special events, be aware that there are official and unofficial gatherings and events that happen at Disney World every year that can vastly increase the crowds. For instance: you might know that they decorate the place for Halloween (as pictured above) and have special nightly events, but did you also know they have multiple marathons a year that cause a sudden influx of people into the parks? Be sure to keep up on the various Disney sites, both official and unofficial, to make sure that your laid back relaxing vacation doesn’t coincide with, say, a bunch of Pop Warner football players and cheerleaders having their annual competition down there. Or that if there are special events, you’re not shut out of the parks most nights starting at 7 pm when they only let the ticketed event people in. A little pre-planning can save you a lot of these headaches, so pay attention!
