Lean the Opposite Way the Teacups are Spinning
“Lean the opposite way the teacups are spinning to make them go faster. Or at least, to make them seem to go faster as you laugh harder!”
This is one of those things that I’m not sure is true, but my family totally believes it is. When we were younger my sisters would pile into a teacup along with my mother and we would let her control the spinning part because she was so good at it. Then, while pinned to the back of the seat because we were going so fast, we’d try to lean in the opposite direction because we swore it made the whole thing spin faster. Regardless of whether it really does or not, it’s so fun to try to fight against the spinning pull that we usually end up laughing our heads off while the world goes whirling by.
