Request a Specific Room or Building at Your Resort

“Research your resort before you go and request a specific room or building for convenience. You may not get it but it never hurts to ask!”

If you are a daredevil that likes walking or a heavy sleeper, you can skip this tip. However if you have real concerns about how long it might take to walk back to your room at the end of the night or how far your room is from a bus stop or the restaurants for your refillable mugs, DEFINITELY research your resort before you go! This is part of why we love the Passporter so much–they include maps of each resort so that you can pick and choose which building you would like.  Requesting a specific building is probably more doable than a specific room, but it never hurts to ask! Keep things like distance from the food courts, pool, and bus stops in mind. If you’re a light sleeper, request something on a second floor or something away from a main lobby/pool, as you are less likely to hear a lot of heavy foot traffic. 

And keep in mind that requesting a specific location is no guarantee that you’ll get it. Don’t be dismayed–we’ve actually ended up in amazing rooms and locations that we otherwise would not have picked ourselves and had a great time! So don’t pitch a fit at the counter or anything. That’s very unDisnified. You’re going to have a magical vacation no matter where you’re staying!
