Bring Board and Card Games Your Family Can Play Together

While I am a firm believer that there is never such a thing as too much rain when it comes to the parks, Florida is pretty thunderstorm, tropical storm, and hurricane prone, so it’s always good to have a backup plan in case you end up stuck at your resort for an afternoon or even a day. Bring along a card game or a board game that is easily packed that you know your family enjoys. We watched a family play a game of Carcassonne (or maybe it was Catan–either way, two great games!) in the lobby of the Grand Floridian one night while waiting for a reservation and we thought it was such a great idea. It allowed them to have some downtime just with each other while also still having fun. It’d be a great way to pass the time when stuck at your resort due to inconvenient weather!
